SEVILLE — The happy couple, pictured moments after exchanging vows. They had travelled to the sun-baked south of Spain with no guests, no seating plan and no speeches — only each other, a photographer, and a city that has been marrying people off for the better part of a thousand years.
The announcement

Joelle and Gregory were married in Seville, Spain.

They went quietly, with no guests and no fuss — just the two of them, a photographer, and a warm August day in the south of Spain.

They came for a wedding.
They left with a marriage.

Afterwards there was the Alcázar, a plaza tiled in cobalt and ochre, and an evening that went on longer than planned.

The photographs that follow were taken on the day.
